The International Conference on Human Functioning began in September 1977, the brainchild of Dr. Hugh Riordan, a true visionary in integrative medicine. His goal was clear: to foster meaningful education among colleagues and the broader community while bravely challenging conventional medical norms.
Dr. Riordan envisioned a dynamic space where scientific innovation, nutritional research, and biochemical individuality could take center stage, free from commercial influence and dominated not by controversy, but by curiosity and collaboration. The inaugural event drew over 500 attendees, setting an unprecedented standard for medical conferences. From the very beginning, Dr. Riordan was passionate about bringing the brightest biochemical minds to Wichita, igniting bold conversations and groundbreaking discoveries in the heartland.
Nearly 50 years later, that same pioneering spirit lives on.
Join us as we carry forward this powerful tradition. Hosted by the Riordan Clinic, this milestone conference gathers global thought leaders in integrative and functional medicine to explore the evolving future of cancer care.
